INTRODUCING Jessica Lafond

 Jessica LaFond is a local criminal defense attorney and partner at Hills at Law, P.C. Jessica has exclusively practiced criminal defense since becoming licensed in 2014. She earned the title of Partner at her firm in 2020. 

In her role at the firm, LaFond assists in managing and growing the practice. Since becoming partner, she has helped in developing the firm’s second location in Berrien County. She also has maintained her own case load which involves representing clients who are charged with criminal offenses from pre-charge to jury trials. 

LaFond was hired at Hills Law after graduating from DePaul University College of Law with her juris doctor. She also earned two Bachelor’s Degrees from Michigan State University in Political Science and Spanish.

Jessica is currently a member of several bar associations and related organizations including, but not limited to, the Kalamazoo and Berrien County Bar Associations, Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She also serves on the policy board for OWI Court in Kalamazoo County and is assisting the Berrien County court in developing its own OWI / treatment court program. 

Jessica spends her free time with her husband, Nick, and four amazing kids – Mason, Beckham, Charlie, and Natalie.
